Mr. Panas Symeonides MBChB MRCS DOHNS FRCS

ENT - Rhinology & Anterior Skull Base Surgeon

​

Mr. P. Symeonides was born in Nicosia in a family of doctors. He graduated with “Excellence” from the English School Nicosia and enrolled in the Medical School of the University of Sheffield, UK.

​

He completed his Medical Degree (MBChB) with Distinction in 2007. He trained in the National Health System (NHS) and completed his Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) specialty at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons England and following successful examinations, he was awarded the postgraduate titles of Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) and Diploma of Head and Neck Surgery (DOHNS). He obtained his certificate of completion of training (CCT) from Athens, Greece and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeon, England (FRCS). He has been on the General Medical Council (UK) Specialist Register for ENT Consultants since July 2016. From June 2016 to August 2017 he sub-specialised in the field of Advanced Rhinology and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base Surgery (UK Fellowship) at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Mr. P. Symeonides covers all adult and paediatric ENT conditions, with special interest is Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and Trans-nasal Endoscopic approaches to Pituitary and Anterior Skull Base pathology. He is experienced and passionate about performing Functional Rhinoplasty (Nose Job), to correct problems with nasal obstruction and restore the aesthetic balance of the face.

Experience

Mr. P. Symeonides attends practical courses and educational conferences to maintain his knowledge up to date and offer his patients the best care. He is involved in research and has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is active in teaching and is on the faculty of National and International Courses.

 

Mr. P. Symeonides has extensive surgical experience training and working in tertiary and quaternary referral centres in the UK. He has is proficient in performing Endoscopic Pituitary Surgery, Advanced Sinus Surgery including the Frontal Sinus (Draf procedures) and repairing CSF leaks.
